Can someone from Norway update on this? Was the branch sold?
We know they will reach to 1BM with their sales in NYC, but they are/were also selling in Norway, Sweden, Ireland, New Zealand, Switzerland, Austria and Czech Republic. I bet they will made a few bucks from those too.

How much money does the R&F give to the WT?
by Viva la Vida inthat is a very difficult question to answer since the wt doesnt publish its accounts.
but some countries require from charities to make public theirs finances.
i've been thought the wt accounts published for canada, uk and new zealand for 2012. .

Lostonrye - That's right they are always asking for more. They also receive donations through the Assembly Halls charities, so the number is bigger.

Thanks tootired - I would guess 15/20 dollars in the US per publisher per month. That would give some 216 million... Just on donations!!!
And we know they have other sources of income.

This is what a dub gives to the WT per month in us dollars:
UK: 50.10 (this includes grants and loans. Cash donations: 13.42)
Canada: 31.00
New Zealand: 9.59
Do you now of other countries where the WT is forced to publish its numbers?

intel on warwick project
by stuckinamovement inthe committee assigned to build the new complex was called into a meeting with the governing body.
they were told " you finish this project by january 1 2017. we want the keys to the complex and will be headquartered there by that date, do you understand?".
when the brothers protested and said that it would take 6 years for the project to be complete and if they moved that fast there would be many mistakes, the gb responded, "we don't care, that is your deadline".

This is my theory: assets located in a rural area are more difficult to sell in case they are collected as a lawsuit payment; I mean they are not as “tempting” as property in the city for someone wanting to sue them. If they are foreseeing legal/financial troubles in the near future it seems as a good move.

Thanks again for your great advice… I’ve been looking through the pages and books you recommended. They are great and very eye opening.
I think what moves me to stay in the WT is the hope to help others. The other day two old sister told me they felt so tired with keeping up with everything that was being demanded from us (meetings, FS, Family worship), plus doing the normal stuff people do every day (working, cleaning, etc). I think this is the feeling more R&F are getting these days, but no one seems to realize what the real problem is. I hope with time I might help my family and friends to realize that. At least I want to try it, and I can’t do that from the outside.
Since I was a child I hated injustices and oppression, and for me that is exactly what the WT does to people. Luckily I’m awakening to it.

Thanks all for your replies.
I would like to share more about my life but I want to be careful since I’m still in. I think I’ll open up a little more with time.

Hi All,
This is my first post even thou I’ve been lurking for some time.
I was raised in as a JW, and I’m still in because of my family. Since waking up I found meetings, assemblies and FS stressing and thought writing in here might be therapeutic. I don’t want to leave the borg for now, but I hope this place will help me to deal with it.
For several years I was heavily involved with congregation activities (I even worked in a WT branch), but since knowing TTAT I have been slowing down the pace. This is really difficult; they are always pushing for you to do more. But now I don’t have the motivation to do so.
I woke up after carefully reading Daniel 4 about a year ago. My first thought was why to compare a prophecy about a Babylonian king with God’s sovereignty. Daniel 4 is self-explanatory and WT explanation didn’t have any logic for me anymore.
